The V288 with its patented Stable-Vee hull features a generous double-wide helm with flip-up bolsters, map pockets, and a sophisticated instrument panel. Technology abounds on the instrument panel, trimmed with woodgrain and charcoal accents at the helm. Polished bezels highlight a comprehensive series of Faria gauges, tachometer with hour meter, and a compass to guide the way. The lenses in these gauges are specially coated to resist fogging and condensation. And, for utmost safety precautions, a gas vapor detector gauge is now standard. There’s plenty of space for additional navigational equipment at the helm; a Raymarine VHF C80 package is available, including a depth sounder, chart plotter, radar, and SIRIUS Satellite Marine Weather radio. Trim tabs and a remote spotlight are standard. A walk-thru windshield with optional stainless steel header, along with port and starboard windshield wipers make for a clean and clear view of the waters ahead. Upon entry through the screened cabin door, the space is so well-planned that it seems far larger than reality. The two-level main cabin houses a raised forward berth. Take a step down to the dinette that converts to berth with storage tucked beneath. Mid-cabin is home to another spacious berth. The galley and lounge area feature all the conveniences of home including a sink with an ample granite-look counter surface, a refrigerator, microwave, electric flush-mount stove and a concealed trash basket situated in attractive and efficient woodgrain cabinets. Watching your favorite flick is even a snap on the standard flat screen television with DVD player mounted in the cabin. Plus, there is an additional iPod/MP3 port and 12 VDC receptacle inside the cabin for added convenience. A CO monitor is standard. Natural light from multiple screened windows and hatch fills the cabin, adding to the fabulous feel of the V288. The head and shower?s excellent design and function is yet another plus, with a porcelain head and hot water shower. A sink and solid surface vanity, mirror, along with a medicine storage area, towel rack, and overhead lighting make the space perfectly efficient. Ventilation is no problem with the screened portlite and power ventilation fan. Above board, a color-matched canvas camper system that attaches to the radar arch is included as standard equipment, and converts the deck to a fully sheltered entertainment area for those breezy evenings on the water. The radar arch includes speakers, a wire chase, lights and grab handles. A option is the hinging fiberglass arch, making set-up, storage, transportation and maintenance super simple. The rub rail features a unique and durable design of rigid white vinyl with a stainless steel insert. The hull is adorned with a premium gel coat finish available in four colors.

The V288 is available with a choice of gasoline or diesel power. Volvo Penta gasoline power ranges from Twin 4.3 GXi/DP 225 HP to Twin 5.0 OSi/XDP 270 HP. Volvo Penta diesel ranges from Twin D3-160 DPS 160 HP to Twin D3-160 XDP 160 HP. Electronic shift is standard with Volvo Penta. MerCruiser gasoline power is available from Twin 5.0 MPI/Bravo III 260 HP to the Twin 5.0 MPI/Bravo III SeaCore 260 HP. Digital throttle and shift is standard with MerCruiser power.
